Facebook is Bringing 'Clear History' Feature

The Clear History feature first announced in May 2018 and described as a control to clear your Facebook browsing history.

Facebook's long-awaited privacy tool -- "Clear History", which would let users erase their information collected by Facebook from third-party apps and websites, is now scheduled to come out later this year.

The information was announced by David Wehner, Facebook's Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media and Telecom Conference being held in Barcelona, the media reported.
Facebook, Clear History, Mark Zuckerberg, facebook feature, Privacy tool, Zukerberg
"Broadly, (clear history is) going to give us some headwinds in terms of being able to target as effectively as before," CNBC quoted Wehner as saying on Tuesday.

The "Clear History" feature was first announced in May 2018 and was described as "a simple control to clear your browsing history on Facebook -- what you've clicked on, websites you've visited, and so on", by CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
However, Wehner is concerned that the feature would impact Facebook's ability to target ads to audiences since the social networking giant collects data based on the user's location and preference history.

"We want to make sure this works the way it should for everyone on Facebook, which is taking longer than expected," BuzzFeed News quoted Facebook as saying last week.

The testing of the tool is being planned to begin somewhere between March and May.

"Clear History" was proposed by Zuckerberg in reaction to the company's Cambridge Analytica scandal last March and was announced publicly when it just an idea, the media reported.

Google Duo app is one of the few communication apps offered by the company that people immediately responded to. It was originally released in 2016 alongside Allo, an artificial intelligence-powered messaging application, which never took off. But, Duo app has shown promising results even in its first days of release. Because of that, the development team behind it have been working very hard to optimize the video and audio quality of the service, improve the interface of the application, and enhance the overall experience. The cross-platform availability of Duo also played a big role in its popularity. Google released Duo for both Android and iOS at Google I/O 2016.
Google, Google Duo, Google Duo for Web, Duo app, Android, iOS, Duo

We’ve known for a while that Google was working on expanding the platform support of Duo app. We first got the word about the web version of the service just last month. Like promised, Google Duo is now available on the web. If you want to use the service, all you have to do is to navigate to the website and login via your Google account. The web application is as simple and intuitive as the mobile one. You are greeted by a contacts/numbers list on startup. You can initiate a voice or video call with any of them. Searching your contacts via their name or number is also possible. The interface is following the updated Material Design principles.
From what we’ve noticed, it is a wide rollout, but not all of us has the update just yet. We may have to wait a little longer until the web version of Google Duo penetrates all of the accounts/devices. Nevertheless, it is nice to see that one of the easiest and most reliable video-calling application now supports both of the major platforms: web and mobile.

Google's Material theme is slowly making its way onto all of its software products, with Gmail having got early treatment a while ago on its Web app. Last week, Google rolled out the theme for Gmail App on Android, bringing a new look to the app following the new design language of the Material theme. Now, Google is rolling out a similar theme change even for its Gmail app on iOS, so iPhone and iPad users on Gmail will see the change on their apps starting this week.
Android, chrome, Gmail, Gmail app, Gmail for Android, Google, google play, ios, Smartphones, Gmail for iOS, Material theme, Google Material Theme, iphone, ipad

With iOS, the Gmail app is being updated as a server-side update, which means that users won't have to manually update the app to get the new theme. This also means that users will automatically receive the update even if they haven't updated to the latest version of the app. The new theme rolled out for Android smartphones and tablets last week, and is now making its way to iOS as expected. This change will take a few days to be visible for everyone using Gmail on iOS.
The new Material theme does away with the red bands and colourful appearance of the app, replacing it with the whiter appearance of the new theme. This also includes the new font, compose button and changed method for switching accounts within the app. The white colour is said to make it easier to find emails, while searching for specific mails or attachments is also a key feature of the new Material theme.
As we mentioned, Google has been gradually moving its apps and services to the Material theme, with the Web-based apps getting early treatment. Various Google apps across Android and iOS, including Gmail, Keep, and Maps have seen the refreshed theme being implemented.

PUBG Mobile Zombie Mode: Tips And Tricks

PUBG Mobile Zombie Mode: Tips And Tricks

PUBG Mobile Zombie Mode is now available for both Android and iOS users, Here is some Tips And Tricks to succeed in the New Gameplay.

PUBG, PUBG Mobile, PUBG Mobile Zombie Mode, Zombie, Android, iOS, Chicken dinner, Resident Evil, Resident Evil 2, 0.11.0, PUBG Mobile 0.11.0,
PUBG Mobile 0.11.0 brings the long-awaited Resident Evil 2 collaboration with zombies. The new update brings with it several improvements, including new weapons, skins and most importantly the much-awaited zombies. The update is already available for users on both Android and iOS and if you're looking to ace the new gameplay. To make things easier for you, we are listing down 10 tips that you can follow to win your Chicken dinner and to defeat the deadly zombies in the PUBG Mobile Zombies Mode:
PUBG, PUBG Mobile, PUBG Mobile Zombie Mode, Zombie, Android, iOS, Chicken dinner, Resident Evil, Resident Evil 2, 0.11.0, PUBG Mobile 0.11.0,

1. The Accurate Jump: Just like other modes, landing spots play a vital role while competing in the “Zombie: Survive Till Dawn” mode. The best option here would be to land at populated spots on the Map. Populated places like Pochinki would have more players which would help you kill zombies.
2. Spend the night together: Team members are not just a squad they are your family. It is impossible to survive the Erangel Map alone. Post sunset is when most of the zombies turn violent and start attacking players. Staying together as a team and kill them together.

3. Med Head: Stock yourself up with first aid kits, med kits, energy drinks, and painkillers. The night is dark and full of terrors, one would need to heal up after the zombie apocalypse calms down at dawn.
4. Zombie Bomb: Look out for the Zombie Bombs in houses and use them when its dark and your squad is surrounded by a herd of walkers. The bomb will not harm players but will kill all zombies around you.

5. Zombie Vaccine: Zombies are quite literally everywhere and when you hear them, you are most likely going to encounter them. All is not lost once they stop attacking you though. Stock up on the zombie vaccine to heal quicker. This would help you restore health quickly and get back to shooting up some zombies.

6. Search for Vehicles: Vehicles are an underrated strategy in the zombie mode. You will need two things to execute this strategy – vehicles and a house (preferably two-storey building). Use the vehicle to block the entrance to the building. This will prevent the zombies from entering the building buying you enough time to fire and hold them off till dawn.

7. Optimum use of Ammo: Zombies can be killed with bullets. However, once night falls upon us, they spawn from everywhere. Once you are penned in by this attack, it is vital to use your ammo sparingly. Aim for headshots to eliminate them as quickly as you can and save the ammo for the onslaught until dawn.

8. Kill Zombie Bosses: While you’re fighting the night away and killing everyone that comes your way, do not forget to look out for huge zombie bosses. Killing them will give you better loot. Legends say that they sometimes give you an 8X. Once dawn comes upon us, if you survive that is, pick up what the zombies have left behind. With guns, bullets and melee on offer, load up for the next ambush waiting to happen at dark.

9. Engage when needed: Do not waste your ammo engaging with Zombies during the day. Players tend to engage with zombies and give away their positions. Chicken Dinner can only be achieved once players are dead.

10. Know Zombie Behaviour: The Zombies that will appear on the second night would be more difficult to deal with than the first one. Try and stock up with all kind of zombie repellents available.

HTC Vive Focus Plus standalone VR headset with two motion controllers,First look

HTC has developed an enhanced Vive Focusstandalone VR headset, the Vive Focus Plus. The key change is the addition of a second motion controller thanks to improvements in the ultrasonic 6DoF tracking system.
Having a controller for both hands will make porting PC games easier as their gameplay relies on having two controllers. Most standalone VR headsets use only one controller (e.g. Oculus Go, Gear VR), but there are exceptions like the Oculus Quest.
The Vive Focus Plus is still powered by the same Snapdragon 835 chipset as the non-Plus model and it features a “3K AMOLED display”, most likely the same 2,880 x 1,600px panel. That’s a very high resolution, it matches the $800 Vive Pro VR.

controller, Focus plus, gameplay, Gear VR, headset, HTC, Oculus Go, PC games, Vive Focus Plus, VR headset

Speaking of prices, HTC did not unveil the cost of the Focus Plus, but it did say the headset will be available in Q2 this year. The original Focus launched at $600 and we don’t think there’s much room for a price hike – while you don’t need a PC or a smartphone (which would drive up the total cost), the S835 isn’t exactly fast by 2019 standards.
HTC will attend the MWC to show off the new Vive Focus Plus as well as the premium Vive Pro Eye (with eye tracking).

These include apps like Virtual Data, Mini Wallet, Gold Loan, Love Lifafa, Chit Funds, and more. According to a Quick Heal blog post, the apps “do not have any legitimate functionality related to App name”.
For instance, in the description of one such app called “Credit Card Process” was mentioned that it is to “provide credit card process”. However, the app did not actually include any information related to the credit card process. “Home Load Advisor” app is another such example.
The apps promised money to its users in their Paytm account when they completed certain tasks like click on ads, download apps, etc.

Several users pointed out on the comments sections of the fake apps that the money did not get transferred to their account. Instead, the apps would show a notification in Hindi stating the payment could not be made because of server or technical issue and users will get their money soon.
The fake apps with malware were variants of Android Fakeapp. The most downloaded app was Virtual Data with over 10,000 downloads, followed by Bike insurance Advisor, Health Cover and Chit Funds with more than 5,000 downloads each.

Let's Hope this cleaning process of Google Play Store will make Internet more cleaner and safer.

Gmail for Android Gets Material Theme Look, coming soon for ios

Gmail for Android gets a new look,Google’s Material theme is being implemented on the app, iOS users could also soon see the new theme on their Gmail app.

For anyone that has used the Gmail app on Android, there's a strong sense of familiarity to the whole thing. It's also been the same way for a while now, and is ingrained in most users of the service. However, the red bars and familiar look is set to change, as Gmail is now rolling out its new Material theme for Android. The theme is focused on the colour white, putting key features at the front and centre, such as a new search bar to help you find emails quickly. While it's limited to Android for now, the new theme is also likely to roll out for iOS soon.
The change in theme was announced last month, and is now rolling out as promised. The updated app is now listed on Google Play, with the changelog "New year, new look. Gmail Android now has an updated look and feel." The last update was on Wednesday, February 20. Also included are the new font that is seen on the Material theme, a colourful new shortcut to quickly jump into composing new mail, a redesigned menu and a new method to switch between different linked accounts. Users with two or more Google accounts linked on the same smartphone will now need to tap the profile picture icon in the top right corner to switch between different accounts; this step previously needed the user to go into the menu on the left.

There are some additional changes as well, including being able to see and quickly access attachments in the Inbox view without first entering the mail, and also more visible warnings when a mail is deemed suspicious. This can include ordinary spam, as well as mails that might contain malware or phishing tools. The all-white look may not be the most comfortable on your eyes or most efficient for your battery life, but it is cleaner and allows better visibility of text.
Google has been rolling out the Material theme for its key apps gradually, with Google Keep, Chrome and Photos already featuring the new look. With Gmail getting the new design treatment, a lot more users are likely to be impacted by Google's ongoing changes in aesthetic.

How to stop WhatsApp from downloading photos? Here's the solution

In case you don't want content received on WhatsApp to be downloaded automatically, there's an option to disable the feature in the settings of the service.
How to, download, whatsapp, media, photos, audio, video, android, ios
Today, WhatsApp dominates as the largest messaging platform in the world with over a billion active users.
The service packs a range of features and is already gaining new and interesting capabilities to maintain the messaging standard it is known for.
But, one thing that is annoying in WhatsApp is its ability to download photos, videos automatically.
Here's how to stop it.

Automatic media download can affect storage

Though automatic download can prevent you from choosing and downloading every single file you receive, it can also eat up a lot of space, unnecessarily.
Basically, in the age of memes and GIFs, most of the photos and clips you receive on WhatsApp are irrelevant.
Only some content is useful while the rest lies dormant on the device, eating up your precious storage space.
How to, download, whatsapp, media, photos, audio, video, android, ios

However, you can disable automatic downloads

In case you don't want content received on WhatsApp to be downloaded automatically, there's an option to disable the feature in the settings of the service.
The option is available for both iOS and Android users and can be used to save storage.
But do note that using this option means you will have to pick and download the files manually to access them.

Steps to disable automatic download on Android

If you're using WhatsApp on Android, head over to the 'Settings' section of the app and tap on 'Data and storage usage'.
From there, scroll down to 'Media auto-download' and tap on 'When using mobile data'.
Here, un-check the boxes for photos, audio, and videos to disable automatic downloads.
Also, repeat the same process for 'When connected on Wi-Fi' and 'When roaming' options.

Disabling media download for iOS

iOS users also have to head over to Settings>Data and Storage Usage to disable automatic media download.
But, in this case, instead of connection types, file categories are listed directly.
This means all you have to do is tap on the file type, like Photos or Videos, and hit 'Never'.
After this, they won't be downloaded automatically.

I think this article will help you to know about How to stop WhatsApp from downloading photos.

Google’s Android Q update will kill on-screen back button on smartphones

Google’s Android Q update is going to replace on-screen back button with gesture controls on Smartphones.

Google is going to kill back navigation button with its upcoming Android Q update
. The change in UI is said to be aimed at Google’s efforts to bring more iPhone-like gestures controls on Android rather the traditional touch buttons. Google had shifted to two touch button system and gestures support with Android Pie update.
XDA developers which got hands on an early build of Android Q reports that Google is also going to revamp the “last app” transition animation. The next update, however, will bar users from reverting to the three button navigation system. Other new features spotted in Android Q include system-wide dark mode – a long awaited feature.
Android’s transition to iOS-like UI
Apple introduced gesture-based navigation interface with its iPhone X, its first phone with no TouchID and notch display. Following iPhone X launch, several Android players launched their own iPhone X lookalikes with edge-to-edge display and notch cutouts.
Google last year launched Android Pie with a new one-touch button and lots of gesture features. For instance, you need to swipe up the button to see the recent apps. It also changed volume controls and notifications management.
Android Pie, at least in some smartphones, allowed users to revert to three-touch navigation buttons.

Android Q
Google is set to launch Android Q at its I/O developer conference which will begin on May 7 this year. Apart from new navigation interface changes, Google will a redesigned app info screen with “Material Theme”. It will also revamp the “Time to take action” and “Time to read” settings buttons. Google is also working to bring native face scanning-based authentication support on Android smartphones.

PUBG Mobile has become a massively popular game in India. The addictive free-to-play game, however, has received criticism for allegedly promoting violence and even distracting kids from studies. There have also been demands to impose a ban on the game.
PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s BattleGrounds) India has now finally responded to the criticism and promised to roll out features to encourage healthy gaming experience for Indian users.
“We appreciate the support and trust given to us by our PUBG MOBILE players. While we strive to deliver the best possible gaming experience to our fans, we also believe that it is extremely important for us to be a responsible member of the gaming ecosystem. To this end, we constantly work and shall continue to work with different stakeholders, including parents, educators and government bodies, and listening to their feedback on what we can do to enhance the overall PUBG MOBILE experience,” said the PUBG Mobile team in a statement.
“To foster a healthy and balanced in-game environment, we are developing numerous new features and enhancements which enables us to provide an environment for players to enjoy PUBG MOBILE in a rewarding and responsible manner. We are honored to have a passionate community of PUBG MOBILE players in India and globally and continue to welcome their feedback to make PUBG the best game ever!,” it added.
PUBG in India: Pros
PUBG, which completed one year of its launch earlier this month, has helped revive the gaming industry in India. According to a recent report from KPMG India, the overall gaming industry is set to hit Rs 11,880 crore by 2023.
Another report by the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) and Kantar IMRB in association with POKKT, a smartphone advertising platform for mobile games, India’s mobile gaming industry is estimated to reach $943 million in 2022.
“We also have post-millennials who are heavy on gaming and smartphone brands are responding to this by pushing devices with greater processing power than before, as a result of which, games like PUBG and Fortnite are here to stay,” IANS quoted Prabhu Ram, Head-Industry Intelligence Group (IIG), CMR as saying.
PUBG in India: Cons
PUBG is facing a long criticism that video games have faced in general. Last year World Health Organisation (WHO) declared gaming addictionhas a mental health disorder. WHO described this addiction as “a pattern of persistent or recurrent gaming behaviour” that becomes so extensive that it “takes precedence over other life interests.”
In India, there have been several incidents of the PUBG addiction leading to violence. Recently, a man was allegedly attacked with a knife by his sister’s fiancĂ© after the latter drained out his phone by playing PUBG and could not get a charger. In a separate incident, an 18-year-old Mumbai boy allegedly committed suicide after he had an argument with his family members over buying a new phone for playing PUBG game.

Whatsapp app : WhatsApp May Soon Sort Status Updates in Most Relevant Order

WhatsApp May Soon Sort Status Updates in Most Relevant Order

WhatsApp,whatsapp app,status,whatsapp status,whatsapp new status,whatsapp business,android,ios

WhatsApp is testing a new feature to make its status more engaging and interactive. According to the report, WhatsApp is said to be testing an algorithm for its Status feature to sort updates based on the user’s preference.

Last year, the Facebook-owned messaging platform introduced several new features in order to deliver a seamless user experience. In 2019 too, WhatsApp seemingly has similar plans. WhatsApp has already started rolling out new features for its users. The instant messaging platform is reportedly working to sort the status updates. WhatsApp app launched the Status feature around two years ago and ever since then the company has been bringing small updates to the feature to make it a useful one. The Status feature was copied from Snapchat, but it is a deniable fact that like Snapchat stories, the WhatsApp status didn’t gain much popularity. The WhatsApp status isn’t as interactive as Instagram, and looks like WhatsApp accepts that, which is why the messaging platform is working on polishing the feature in order to make it more interactive.

WhatsApp New Status Feature: How It Works

According to Mashable, WhatsApp is testing a new feature to make its status more engaging and interactive. According to the report, WhatsApp is said to be testing an algorithm for its Status feature to sort updates based on the user’s preference. Currently, the WhatsApp status feature shows updates from family, friends, and all contacts. And it doesn’t segregate the statuses based on the most interacted contact or not. It shows updates from all contact whether the user is converse with them or not. The upcoming status feature is going to sort the updates based on who the user interacts the most and so on.

The report suggests that the Facebook-owned messaging platform has already started testing out the new status feature with some iPhone users in Brazil, Spain and India. It is worth noting that most WhatsApp features first come to iPhone users and are later pushed to Android and Windows users. The report further suggests that the feature will be soon rolled out to all Android users globally.
WhatsApp,whatsapp app,status,whatsapp status,whatsapp new status,whatsapp business,android,ios

With the new status feature, WhatsApp will sort status based on whose update is most relevant to the user. The algorithm will be based on several factors like — whose Statuses the user views most frequently, who the user interacts with regularly, and so on. The report further reveals that WhatsApp will retain the user information that it will collect to make their predictions about the user. The report also notes that the information will be saved as backups.

WhatsApp Business Beta App for iOS Launched

In other news, WhatsApp has launched the beta version of WhatsApp Business to its iOS users last week. Same as the case with standard WhatsApp Beta app for iOS, the WhatsApp Business Beta is also limited to a small fraction of users at the moment. That said, WhatsApp will inform the users whenever there’s a slot available inside the beta programme so that users can join.

Tell us, what you think about whatsapp app new status feature.
